Matt & Natalie are Married – Zurich, Ontario

Natalie dreamed of a beautiful wedding, with a country theme, including a reception in a barn.  Even though she was met with some scepticism by her family, he fiance Matt was on board and so the search was on to find the perfect location.  I think in the end everyone couldn’t have agreed more that they found the perfect location to celebrate this fabulous day.  You can watch their slideshow by clicking here, or download it free in itunes.

Also a very Happy Birthday to Matt – who not only celebrated his marriage the beautiful Natalie but also his 23rd Birthday!  All the best to both of you for a wonderful life together!!

Alex & Amy are Engaged – London, Ontario

Last week amidst all the rain showers I had the opportunity to slip into London and meet Amy & Alex for their engagement session.  Although they are getting married next month in Bayfield, Ontario, they wondered about doing their engagement session in their neighbourhood.  Amy & Alex used to rent just up the street from where they now live.  They love the neighbourhood and so when this cute little house came up for sale they couldn’t resist buying it.  It’s a beautiful home and a lovely property … I have some serious garden envy!  We started out in their yard, before heading to the park just a couple minutes from their home.  Thankfully the rain stayed away just long enough for their session.

Thanks so much Amy & Alex for a fun evening.  I’m really looking forward to your wedding in just a couple weeks!

Katrin & Colin are Expecting!

I had the pleasure last week of meeting Katrin & Colin and taking some maternity photos for them.  They are so excited to be having their first child.  It was a beautiful evening so we started in their nursery and quickly made our way outside for a few more photos.

Justin & Amy – Engaged!

It was more than a year ago when I met with Justin & Amy and they asked me to capture their wedding.  It seemed like it was so far away, and now here it is in just a few short weeks!  We decided to meet up in Goderich.  Amy and I had chatted about a few different ideas before we got together.  Amy I hoped I managed to capture things just the way you wanted.   I think you both look great and I can’t wait to work with you again soon!

Brad & Meredith – Engaged

I love love love engagement sessions.  They are such a great thing for both me and couple to get to know one another and have some fun taking photos.  I find it makes the wedding day run so much smoother when the bride and groom know what to expect and realize (especially for the groom) that photos can be fun.  It should never be a painful thing to get your photo taken!  Enough of of my rant…. this past weekend I had so much fun hanging out in Goderich with Brad & Meredith.  They are such a great couple.  The started dating way back in grade 10 and now that they are almost done University they are starting to plan the next stage of their life together.  Brad will be finishing up school the week before they get married next August so there is a lot of ground to cover yet, but I know that these two will get through it no problem! We met in Goderich at the Library.  Goderich has some wonderful old buildings, but the library is certainly one of my favourties.

I love how Meredith’s face lights up!  So pretty!

We also made a quick stop at one of the old train stations in town.

And then we headed down to the beach for a few shots as well.

All in all it made for a really fun afternoon!  Congrats Meredith & Brad – I can’t wait to shoot your wedding next summer!

Darrell & Jen – Engaged!

Jen had emailed me back in December to see about getting some engagement photos in the snow.  We set a date for early January and boy oh boy snow it did…. snow and wind and basically an all out blizzard.  We decided to reschedule for February…. hoping for snow, but not quite that much snow.   Mother Nature decided yet again to drop down lots of white stuff, but the wind was a bit more friendly so we decided to give it a shot.  It was so much fun (and a bit cold I might add)!  We met up at one of my favourite country locations – my in-laws farm – and tromped around to capture these.  Meet Jen & Darrell

When I started editing through there photos I first thought the next photo was a mistake.  With all those flurries in the air, my autofocus lens was having a hard time keeping it’s focus on Jen & Darrell…. but after looking again I decided I quite liked this “mistake”.

Love this shot!  Jen has such a great smile!

I hope you had a fabulous Valentine’s date after our shoot!  It was so much fun to work with both of you!  So looking forward to your wedding at Hessenland in July when the temperatures will be a lot more friendly!
