Erin & Josh – Engaged

A great big SORRY to Erin & Josh and their wedding party for not posting this sooner.  All my adventures in October certainly put a hamper on my blogging.  Way back at the end of September I had the pleasure of hanging out with Erin & Josh and their wedding party in Grand Bend for an afternoon.    Erin & Josh are the first couple I’ve had ask me if they could include their wedding party in their engagement session.  They both thought it would be fun to get all their friends together and for them all to have a chance to meet and work with me a little bit before their big day.  I thought it was a great idea, so they all piled into a motorhome and made their way from Stratford to Grand Bend on a nice sunny Sunday afternoon.  It was great fun to meet them all and hang out.  Here are a few of my favourite shots from our session.  Looking forward to seeing you all again in 260 days!

Jason & Caylan – Married!

To say the day was perfect would be a lie.  You see Caylan had been planning and hoping for an outdoor ceremony in Hessenland’s beautiful gardens for over a year.  Last week her facebook status was very clear  ”I don’t care if they say about rain being good luck – if it rains on Saturday I will be deeply disappointed” – and needless to say rain it did.   When I arrived  to see Caylan get ready there were a few tears.  We did manage to get outside and take some portraits of her and the girls.  While we were out on the lawn her mood seemed to visibly change as she came to the certain truth that whether the day was “perfect” or not the man she was about to marry was and really, that’s all that mattered.  The rain started just as the ceremony was about to begin so we moved in doors in to the cozy and inviting coach house.  The ceremony was really beautiful and you could tell the Jason & Caylan had put a lot of thought into it.  Soon after the ceremony was finished, the clouds parted and we ventured outside once again for photos.  I think all in all, even though their wedding day wasn’t maybe exactly like they dreamed it would be the love they share and the family and friends they had around them to celebrate with made their day wonderful just the same!  You can click here to start their slideshow, or download it free in itunes.

Mario & Victoria – Married!

Victoria had a vision for their wedding…. insteading of taking their family and wedding party to Cuba for a destination wedding, they would plan a destination wedding in Ontario.? They found Port Blake beach this summer and decided it would be a perfect setting.? As soon as I saw it I knew she was right.? As you came down the beach steps, this is what you saw.

It was awesome!? The lake and the sky were so blue that it almost made you feel like you were in the Caribbean.? Victoria had all the details worked out.? It was fabulous!? You can click here to see their wedding slideshow or download it free it itunes.? In the meantime here are a few of my favourite shots!

Congratulations to both of you and best wishes!

Nathan & Mandy – Married!!

The forecast on Saturday was anything but favourable – 90% chance of showers with heavy rain starting late in the morning and ending in the evening…. not exactly what you hope for when you plan a garden wedding.? I started my day off by meeting up with Nathan & the groomsmen and when I arrived it was RAINING… not just a little either – the kind of rain where you wait in your car for it to quit before you get out rain. Much to everyones surprise the skys seemed to clear and low and behold by the time I got to Mandy and the ladies it was completely sunny!? I don’t know what kind of prayers Mandy said that morning, but they certainly seemed to work!? I know that rain or shine Mandy & Nathan would have had a lovely wedding, but having the sunshine down on them for their ceremony in the beautiful gardens at Hessenland was certainly an added bonus.? I loved how their flowers (by?The Garden Gate) matched the flowerbeds in the gardens.? It was perfect!? Anyway, enough of my ramblings… on to the good stuff – the photos.?
