Alex & Amy are Engaged – London, Ontario

Last week amidst all the rain showers I had the opportunity to slip into London and meet Amy & Alex for their engagement session.  Although they are getting married next month in Bayfield, Ontario, they wondered about doing their engagement session in their neighbourhood.  Amy & Alex used to rent just up the street from where they now live.  They love the neighbourhood and so when this cute little house came up for sale they couldn’t resist buying it.  It’s a beautiful home and a lovely property … I have some serious garden envy!  We started out in their yard, before heading to the park just a couple minutes from their home.  Thankfully the rain stayed away just long enough for their session.

Iain is One!

What a difference a year makes!!  I couldn’t resist posting these two photos side by side.  I knew Iain had changed a lot .. going from a newborn into a toddler, but it’s also remarkable to see how much his big sister Addison has grown up.  What a beautiful family!  I love taking photos of families having fun and Jeff & Caroline certainly love playing with their kids.  If you live in Huron County and are looking for a great park to take your kids to, check out Bayfield.  It’s awesome!

Justine & Matt – Engaged!

I had a great time last week tripping around my favourite little town with Justine & Matt taking some engagement pictures for them.  We wanted snow… which wasn’t a problem… we hadn’t anticipated it being -20 outside, but we made the most of it and got quite a few shots outside before heading indoors to thaw out.  I’m really looking forward to their wedding this June at Hessenland.

Jodie & Shane – Engaged!

I’ve know Jodie since highschool.  We had a lot of the same classes and both played in concert band.  We’ve seen each other here and there over the years but it had been a while.  I was so excited when she stopped by my studio to tell me she was engaged!  I had the pleasure of meeting up with her and Shane in Bayfield a few weekends back for an engagement session.  Here are a few of my favourites from our time together.

Bart & Heather – Married!!

Last Wednesday I had the honour and privelege of watching Bart & Heather exchange their wedding vows… yes a Wednesday.? They had decided way back in January that they wanted a simpler, more intimate wedding and that the 2nd of September in Bayfield would be perfect.? I think they were right.? Now when I put simplier, It’s a bit of a contrast really, as the details and effort that Heather put into the wedding were really lovely.? Take the chairs for instance.? Each one had a little bouquet on the corner.? The dinner tables looked lovely,?and each of the name places were hand written.? It was a beautiful wedding, complete with a horse drawn carriage ride – a surprise from the grooms parent’s for their horse-loving daughter in-law.? Here are a few of my favourite photos from their day.

Stacey & Mike – Engaged

It was a couple of weeks ago that I met up with Stacey and Mike to take their engagement photos. ?Sorry guys that I forgot to blog this until now. ?We had some fun crusing around the streets of Bayfield and finished the evening with a trip to the beach. ?It was a beautiful night and here are a few of my favourite’s from our session. ?I’m really looking forward to working with them again next summer!
