I often get asked if I teach workshops, and the truth is I love them!! The problem usually is that I’m not really sure what people want to learn about. To help me solve this problem (hopefully) – I’ve created an online survey that you can take here. I’m hoping to host a workshop at my studio in Exeter in late January or early February. Please take a moment and fill out the survey. I can’t wait to hear what you have to say! Cheers! Sandra

Photography workshops!
Tulie
I had so much fun working with Tulie. We first met a couple years ago when I played her Wicked Step-Mother in a community drama production. She was great to work with then and even more fun to photograph in my studio. Tulie is working at pursuing a career in theatre and needed some headshots taken. It was great to take some photos that really show off her good looks and her fabulous personality! We started off with the plain and simple headshot and worked our way up to something a little more creative.

You may remember Mikayla from her previous Smiling eyes session back in May 2008. If you would like more information about the Smiling Eyes program check out our website by clicking here.
She is the most amazing little girl with such an incredible spirit. She is a beautiful little 3 year old now and before too long will also be a big sister! Congrats Katie, Mike & Mikayla!! Here are a few shots from our session this fall.
After all the chemo Mikayla’s had she’s finally got enough hair to show off some barettes! Isn’t she a doll! I wanted to pick her up and give her a big hug the whole time we were together.

What a sweetheart!
Jodie & Shane – Engaged!
I’ve know Jodie since highschool. We had a lot of the same classes and both played in concert band. We’ve seen each other here and there over the years but it had been a while. I was so excited when she stopped by my studio to tell me she was engaged! I had the pleasure of meeting up with her and Shane in Bayfield a few weekends back for an engagement session. Here are a few of my favourites from our time together.

More Wedding Photos from Cuba
It’s hard to believe that it has been a month since I was in Cuba. It was such a fun trip. Anyone who knows me would tell you that I am very outgoing and make friends where ever I am. When I was in Cuba I met Francois & Christine and Martin & Chantel – all from the Montreal area. We had lots of laughs and a few cold cerveza. After chatting for just a short time I realized that they were in Cuba to get married…. and after one thing led to another, I agreed to take their wedding photos. They had come to Cuba just the 4 of them to witness each others marriage. They had a lovely day to get married, and here are just a few of my favourite shots!
[gallery size="full" columns="1"]Congratulations to all of you and thank you so much for letting me take your wedding photos! It was so much fun to meet all of you! I will certainly be in touch the next time I am in Montreal! Best wishes!!
Adventures in Australia – Post #3
You’ll have to forgive me for the length and delay of this post. I’ve been without internet for the past few days. I’ll try to bring you up to speed on our adventures. On Monday as you can see from my last post we headed into Sydney for the day. This is the ferry that we caught in Manly. It was a really smooth and relaxing ride. Great view of the city as we approached.

This is the Sydney Harbour bridge as we approached on the ferry.

And the opera house in the distance just after we landed.

It’s spring break right now in Sydney and the kids are all out of school, I had to give this kid a dollar and take a photo. He was doing a great job of busking on the dock of the harbour. He made me very lonesome for my musical kids at home. He was playing one of the same songs that Bailey does and he must have been right around her age.

Eileen & Ian on the opera house steps. Then we headed into one of the oldest parts of the city.

And you can see from my previous post that I had a great day roaming around Sydney. On Tuesday morning we headed up to Hunter Valley Wine Region. I got a real kick out of the road signs as we were driving. The first one is pretty obvious – watch for kangaroo’s… it was the wombat sign that threw me off for a minute
Really nice farm land on our drive.

We stopped on the way up at the Wollombi tavern and had hands-down the best hamburger ever! The thing was massive!

It was a great little country pub. We arrived at our cabin and toured a few winery’s the first day. A very yummy and fun thing to do. Here is a shot of our cabin and the amazing rainbow that appeared one evening. Such a beautiful night.

Here’s a shot I took at one of “tasting” stops – this was at the Blue Tounge brewrey. Would you believe they really have lizards here with blue tongues? True story! And as a side note it’s a pretty yummy beer! They give you these paddles with 6 little glasses on to try each of the kinds they brew.

On Thursday morning we were checking out of our cabin and we found these lovely creatures milling about. Kangaroo’s are awful darn cute, especially the babies hiding in their mommies tummy…. but man the stretch marks must be terrible!

This photo of my mother-in-law I took for my parents… check out the size of the flowers on the side of the road… and this one wasn’t the biggest one by any means. Amazing!
Our trip to The Hunter was tons of fun and I’ll do my best tomorrow to blog some more about our surfing and fishing adventures today. It’s been such an awesome vacation! I think I’ve even talked Ian & Eileen into “Trashing the Dress” before we leave.
