I’ve been published!!

Today a couple of my photos are running in the London Free Press !  Super exciting.  Pick up a paper and you can read the article for some details about the play “Narcisse” … it was an awesome production and I was thrilled to be asked to photograph some performances.  The newspaper only features two of the photos, but here are a few more including some back stage photos.  It was an amazing performance with almost all of the talent being local volunteers.  A huge undertaking and I’m so pleased they’ve received a well deserved Governor Generals Award.  Enjoy the photos!

Rewind to the 80′s!

I had a phone call a few months ago from a great group of ladies who were planning a benefit for Children’s Hospital in London in March.  They wondered if I’d set up my “Fun Photo Booth” for a few hours at their Rewind to the 80′s  benefit dance.  Gotta say it was a LOT of fun for a great cause.  There was some serious time and effort put into a ton of costumes!  Here are a few of my favourites from the evening.

And the last shots are of the two amazing ladies who planned the event!  Well done girls!  Thanks for asking me to be a part of it all!

Fall Workshop Weekend – Saturday November 27th & Sunday November 28th

Announcing the fall workshops to be held at my studio on Saturday November 27th and Sunday the 28th!  It’s a fun filled weekend of learning about photography and specifically your digital SLR camera.  Saturday’s class is designed specifically to help you understand your what all those settings are for and how to get the most out of your digital SLR.  Class starts at 10 and usually finishes around 3pm.  Lunch is included in the cost.  Sunday’s workshop is all about editing.  I know you’ve got hundreds and perhaps thousands (eeks!) of photos sitting on your hard drive.  I’ll help you learn how to back them up, edit them and print them to create pieces to be treasured for generations.  You can sign up for just one class or both by clicking here. Please feel free to email me any questions at info@sandraregier.com.  Your registration will be confirmed upon your payment and classes will be limited to 10 registrants!  Looking forward to seeing you there!!

Darryl and Jasna – Engaged!

When Darryl & Jasna first contacted me about taking their engagement photos I soon realized that they weren’t looking for the traditional type of photoshoot  - they were looking for something a little more urban, artsy and perhaps a bit on the racy side.  It was so much fun to trip around downtown London and find a different way to look at the city.  They are such a great looking couple and were completely open to anything I wanted to try.  I hope I managed to capture something a little different for them!  Here are a few of my favourites.

Paul & Melissa – Married!

There is something about a rainy wedding day…. certainly it’s not the weather that the couple have dreamed of having for their special day, but in the end, it doesn’t really matter.  Paul will still waiting at the end of the aisle when Melissa’s dad escorted her there. They still said I do, they are still madly in love, and Mr & Mrs Jeffray.  It does however make my job a little interesting.  Lately, there have been quite a few rainy Saturdays!  Thankfully, it hasn’t rained all day and I’m managing to get my brave brides & grooms outdoors for some photos.  It also makes me step up my game and get creative.  I’ve actually kind of enjoyed the challenge.  Paul & Melissa were awesome to work with, as was their wedding party.  The girls smiled away through the goosebumps and all in all I think we captured some great photos.  You can see more of them by watching their slideshow here, or download it in itunes and watch it on your ipod!

I loved this shot in the church!  Love the lines of the ceiling and the flow of Melissa’s dress!

It was pouring rain right at the end of the ceremony so we headed up the balcony for a couple photos with the beautiful stained glass window and then as we were outside I caught this photo in my minds eye.   Gotta love a good reflection.

I seriously think Melissa picked this bar due to the colour of the peeling paint.  All I have to say is – Good choice Melissa!!

Rainy days = amazing clouds!  Love this shot!

I love it when couples bring some of their personality into their photos.  Melissa & Paul love baseball.  Only fitting to bring out their cleats and add them into our shoot.Congratulations Melissa & Paul!  They say rain is good luck on your wedding day…. somehow I don’t think you’ll need it!

Courtney & Justin – Engaged

I’ve known these two for pretty much their entire lives.  Courtney & Justin grew up together .. living just a couple houses apart and going to school together from kindergarten on.  It was until they headed off in seperate directions to go to University that they realized that perhaps there was more to their relationship that just friendship.  We decided to start their engagement session at Justin’s grandpa’s farm and then head to the beach.  I haven’t had an engagement session at the beach for a while so it was really a lot of fun.  Here are a few of my favourite shots!  Enjoy!
