Barb’s Smiling Eyes

Sunday I had the pleasure of meeting Barb & Larry and their family.? Barb has been fighting like crazy and isn’t about to give up!? She has a great twinkle in her eye and I just love this photo of her.? I know she was a little self conscious of having her photo without her scraf, but I think it’s absolutely stunning!

I asked one of their daughters – Cheryl, to tell me a bit about her parents….. Her words were so touching I had to add them to my blog entry. “My parents lives has been devoted to their family?which has always been very important to all of us.? With mom’s diagnosis with this acute condition (approximately?4 months ago)?their love has grown even stronger and their lives have been changed forever.? None of us are?sure what?we are to learn from this but we have decided that what we will take away from this is to be sure to let your family know how much you love them every day (so that you never have to worry about what you haven’t said when it is time to say goodbye) and treasure every moment…like we will these photos!”

All the best to entire Ballantyne family!? II hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

Robb Family Photos

It’s hard to believe that it was over 2 years ago that I captured Wayne & Aundrea’s wedding photos. ?It was great to see them and little Ella again, however I wish it was for another reason. ?Aundrea called a couple weeks ago to see about having a Smiling Eyes shoot in honor of her father who is fighting a tough battle. ?We met up in their hometown of Goderich and snapped some photos. ?Here are a few of my favourites. ?

Fred’s Smiling Eyes

Today Mother Nature smiled on me.? I was scheduled to meet the Pinarello family at 3pm for their photo shoot…. and it rained ALL day with the exception of 3-3:30.? In fact at one point during our shoot, the sun kind of came out and shone right on the wood pile I was hoping to use for photos.? It was great to hang out with Fred & Lily, Ryan & Crystal & Sabrina & Dave and get to know them all a little better.? I’ll be spending more time with them in May when I cover Ryan & Crystal’s wedding. (Can’t wait!!)

Anyway, I was really happy with the photos from today.? I was also especailly glad that I spotted Fred’s vintage car in the garage for a couple extra photos right at the end.? It was a good day, and I love how Fred’s eyes really do smile!
