Tara may look very familiar to some of my brides.  She is one of the leading forces at Bridal Elegance here in Exeter.  I’ve known Tara for a quite a number of years I often find myself photographing their beautiful gowns!  I was so excited when she contacted me to see about taking her maternity photos.  Tyler and Tara are expecting their first child to arrive in just 4 short weeks…. Tara is hoping for a bit sooner, but only time will tell!  It was great that Tyler could make it along for our session.  It such an awesome chapter in their family and I’m absolutely thrilled to capture it!

We started out in the studio… sorry about the steps Tara!

I love taking photos in my studio, but it such a gorgeous night I couldn’t resist taking them outside for a few too.  Here are some of my favourites from our session.

Wow!  What a fantastic weekend!  Full blog posts will follow later this week, but I had to share just a sneak peek of my pics from the weekend.  The weather couldn’t have been more fabulous and between shoots this weekend I did manage to slip to the beach with my family and also spend a very late night at the drive in… we LOVE the drive in.    Anyway, I started off Friday night with Tyler & Tara for some maternity photos.  Tara was a bit nervous about the whole thing, but check out these photos!! Such a beautiful night to photograph such a beautifiul couple!

Saturday night I took a few quick shots of my newphew Scott and his girlfriend Cassidy before they headed off to prom.  Another great looking couple!  Hope that had a fun night!

And today I got to meet the winner of my Mother’s Day Contest – Melanie.  To read about why this mom is so very special you can check out the blog post here. It was fun afternoon and a great way to end my shoots this weekend!

I was so excited when Caroline contacted me about taking her maternity photos.  Not only is she my daughter’s teacher this year, but almost exactly 3 years ago she and Jeff gave me the honour of capturing their wedding day.  I’ve actually known both Jeff & Caroline for about 5 years, since before they were actually a couple! Jeff & Caroline met while they were both teaching at my children’s school, so it’s been really neat to see them grow into a family of 2 and then 3 and now on to number 4!  Soon to be Big Sister Addison was also along for their photoshoot.  This little girl is absolutely adorable and almost stole the show.  Here are a few of my favourite images from their session.

I was super excited when Alysha emailed to see about joining the Watch Me Grow program.  I clearly remember these two when they were dating in highschool, and I was privilege to capture both their engagement and wedding photos so now to be able to watch them as they embark on they journey into parenthood is really fun.   They are both such wonderful and kind people that I know they will make awesome parents!  Alysha has always been a bit nervous infront of the camera, but I think her nerves were completely unfounded as she looks just fabulous!

The last shot is for her little sister who has entrusted Alysha with her extensive collection of high heels while she is travelling and working in Europe.  Alysha & Brandon I wish you all the best for a safe and speedy delivery and I can’t wait to meet Baby O when he/she decides to make an appearance!!  Good luck!!
