Bedard Family

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure so spending some time with the Bedard family in their hometown of Goderich. We started off our session in the early morning at the beach. It is pretty much the only time of day in Goderich wehere the beach isn’t covered with people. That particular morning we were lucky that our only competition for the sand were the seagulls. Tom, Jodi, Cassidy & Tatum were great to work with. Here are a few of my favourite shots.

We also snapped a few quick photos at their home before heading off to the historic trainstation just down the street

All in all it was a really fun morning! I hope you enjoy your family photos!

Avery

I had the pleasure this week of photographing Avery and her parents. We started out our shoot in the studio.

Check out the sweet highchair I scored this week! Love it! Doesn’t she look so darn cute?

And then we headed out for some fun at the park just down the street. Avery had never really seen balloons before, so it was fun to watch her reaction.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to capture this sweet time in Avery’s life!

Happy Anniversary David & Tracey

This post is extra special to me! I’ve known David & Tracey since I started dating Chris over 20 years ago. David is one of Chris’s brothers and we’ve always had tons of fun hanging out with them. It’s hard to believe how fast time goes, one year fades into the next and before you know it my nieces and nephews who I used to babysit have all grown up!

Tracey & David are two awesome people, volunteering to help not only their family but their entire community at every opportunity. I can’t think of anyone who does more to help others out! Tracey has always been one of my biggest cheerleaders for my business as well, which has always meant the world to me. I’m so glad we were able to round up all the kids and get some great family photos.

Love the photo below. It is so “them” it makes me smile.

Congrats Dave & Tracey on 25 years! Wishing you only the best for many many more!

I love families…. and I especially love it when one of the couple’s I photographed as an engaged and then married couple asks me to also photograph their family. There is no greater compliment! I was so excited when Janet wondered if I’d be able to take their photos and capture little Lauren at this wonderful stage. Isn’t she just a doll!

Rob & Janet you really have a beautiful little girl! I hope you treasure every minute of it! Trust me, they grow up way too fast!

MacNaughton Family Photos

I had the privilege of meeting the MacNaughton family this past Saturday in the park in Exeter named after John’s father. Family photos in Exeter have been a long standing tradition for their family as John grew up right here in town and he and Gail along with their children have fond memories of visiting his parents here. They are really a lovely family and I truly enjoyed our time together. A very happy birthday to you John! I hope you enjoyed your stay at Brentwood on the Beach!

Watch Me Grow – Outdoor Sessions

Last fall I started offering “Watch Me Grow” packages which include 3 sessions that capture “from belly to birth to birthday”. This package gives you 3 sessions in studio within a 13 month period. I decided last week to put a little twist on it. I contacted the parents that hand children were ready for their next session. These babies were all photographed when they were about 2 months old the first time (click on their names below to see that session), and now are all in the 6-9 month range. It worked out that it suited all of the families on the same day so we met up at Exeter park for an outdoor version of the “watch me grow” session. It’s so neat to see how much each of them have grown. Let me start with Cole.And next was his cousin Sofie. These two were born just days apart!

How cute is she!! Love that smile!

And next up was Finn. It was so great to see how much each of their little personalities has developed. Finn has the cutest little wiggle he does when he’s sitting and playing. Absolutely adorable!

Can’t wait to see them all again for their third session!

Baby Sean Catherine!

Love this little face!It was great to have Sean Catherine and her mom and dad into the studio last week. Sean Catherine had pretty much no intention of sleeping, especially not without her soother! We did however manage to get some beautiful shots of her. Love how little her feet are!

A very rare sleepy baby photo!

This quilt was made by Sean Catherine’s great-grandma. No one in the family knew that she even quilted until a whole cedar chest full of these amazing blankets was found after she passed away. I love it when families bring along items like this to their session. Such a great way to tie in part of their families legacy!
