Chris & Michelle – Married

I had a fabulous time on Saturday with Chris & Michelle as they exchanged their vows and celebrated their marriage at Hessenland!   You can watch their slideshow by clicking here, or download it free for your ipod in my itunes store.   I started the day off by meeting up with Chris & the groomsmen.  These guys were a lot of fun to work with… as you can see by the photos.

The even did their own version of “The Beatles” – Abbey Road photo… including the bare feet on the third gentleman!

Lots of fun!

The boys headed off to Hessenland to get everything ready and I met up with Michelle and her lovely ladies!  One thing to note for all brides, no matter how hard you try to schedule things for your wedding, undoubtably they won’t go quite as planned.  Michelle was running a bit behind getting back from hair and makeup but took it all in stride and started to put on her gorgeous gown.  I loved all her details including her amazing boquet by Village Vines  and also the beautiful and delicate hanky that she carried which belonged to her Great Grandmother.

Such a beautiful bride!

After the cermony Chris & Michelle had requested a shot of the whole group… I mean everyone.. guests and all.  I think it turned out pretty fine!

We spent the afternoon on the beautful grounds at Hessenland.  Absolutely wonderful!

And even snuck out from the reception for a few shots at sunset.

All in all a fabulous day.  Thanks so much for letting me be a part of it!

Bedard Family

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure so spending some time with the Bedard family in their hometown of Goderich.  We started off our session in the early morning at the beach.  It is pretty much the only time of day in Goderich wehere the beach isn’t covered with people.  That particular morning we were lucky that our only competition for the sand were the seagulls.  Tom, Jodi, Cassidy & Tatum were great to work with.  Here are a few of my favourite shots.

We also snapped a few quick photos at their home before heading off to the historic trainstation just down the street

All in all it was a really fun morning!  I hope you enjoy your family photos!

Courtney & Justin – Engaged

I’ve known these two for pretty much their entire lives.  Courtney & Justin grew up together .. living just a couple houses apart and going to school together from kindergarten on.  It was until they headed off in seperate directions to go to University that they realized that perhaps there was more to their relationship that just friendship.  We decided to start their engagement session at Justin’s grandpa’s farm and then head to the beach.  I haven’t had an engagement session at the beach for a while so it was really a lot of fun.  Here are a few of my favourite shots!  Enjoy!

Justin & Amy – Married

I first met Justin & Amy almost over a year and a half ago.  When we met for their wedding consultation they new their date and knew they wanted to work with me…. the rest of the details were up in the air.  Photos were the most important thing to Amy about her wedding.  What a compliment that was!  I knew right away that this was my kind of girl! :)   Justin I have to say I admire you a great deal!  Not only did you go along with our photo plan that included more than half a dozen locations, but you were excited to be a part of it all.  Not to many groom share this kind of enthusiasm over photos.  Saturday was an absolutely beautiful day and I couldn’t be happier for the two of you.  I’ve tried to pull together a collection of images for this blog post that included all of our locations throughout the day.  I LOVE the variety we captured for the two of you!!   If you’d like to see their slideshow you can click here or download it free in itunes and watch it on your ipod!

After Justin & Amy met in their back yard, our first stop was on a gravel sideroad…. I picked the location.  Little did I know it was the same road that Justin grew up on!

Next we headed to the beach… the same spot that Amy & Justin had their prom photos taken when they were dating in highschool!

Our next stop… for icecream of course!

From there we headed to a location Amy had found… a bridge on a sideroad just outside of London.  What Amy hadn’t noticed was this amazing field of clover right next to the bridge.  LOVE IT!!

Also loved this gate right next to the field!

Then we headed into the heart of London.

Found an awesome alley of graffiti…. you just had to watch where you walked:)

And there we tripped across a wall that had one of their readings painted on it… how cool is that!

We even managed to sneak out after dinner for a few twilight photos.  Love this!

The hardest part of this blog post was picking just a handful of images from the many many that were taken.  Justin & Amy thanks so much for being such an incredible couple to work with.  You wedding was absolutely amazing!

More of Amy…..

Love it when I trip across photos that my assistant’s take when I’m shooting.  I found this little gem of myself taking Amy’s photo… and then the shots I took.  Love it!

Justin & Amy – Sneak Peak

I don’t even know where to begin about yesterday’s amazing wedding.  Justin and Amy were such a great couple to work with, and that coupled with all the gorgeous details of the day and the beautiful wedding party and cooperative weather made for a bit of a photography marathon!  I came home with over 3000 images to sort through.  A new record.  Here are just two of my favourites.  The rest will have to wait for another day!
