Mario & Victoria – Married!

Victoria had a vision for their wedding…. insteading of taking their family and wedding party to Cuba for a destination wedding, they would plan a destination wedding in Ontario.? They found Port Blake beach this summer and decided it would be a perfect setting.? As soon as I saw it I knew she was right.? As you came down the beach steps, this is what you saw.

It was awesome!? The lake and the sky were so blue that it almost made you feel like you were in the Caribbean.? Victoria had all the details worked out.? It was fabulous!? You can click here to see their wedding slideshow or download it free it itunes.? In the meantime here are a few of my favourite shots!

Congratulations to both of you and best wishes!

Eamon & Melissa – Married

Friday was a perfect day for a wedding…. I may be a bit biased, being it was my own wedding anniversary, but it really was a lovely day.???When I first met with Melissa last fall to talk about their wedding, Eamon was serving in Afganistan.? I want to send a big shout to all of our soldiers and their wives and families who sacrifice so much for all of us.? I can’t image how hard their months apart must have been, which is part of what made Friday’s celebration so wonderful.? The love between these two is so obvious you can’t help but smile when you see them together.? You can click here to start their slideshow, or download it free in itunes.? In the meantime here are a few of my favourite shots of their wedding.

Andrew & Shannon – Married

This past Saturday I had a fabulous day with Andrew and Shannon and the staff of the Ben Miller Inn.? It was a beautiful day and every attention was paid to details. It was also great to work with Lisa from Simple Creations who was the wedding coordinator for the day. I do have to make special mention of Shannon’s amazing wedding gown. As you can see from the photos, it is far from traditional. The thing you can’t see is that is was painstakingly made with love by Shannon’s mother. Countless hours were spent sewing on sequins and making sure that the fit would be perfect, and let me tell you Dawn, it was worth every minute. Shannon looked absolutely breathtaking. The pride and love on your face as she walked down the aisle brought several tears to my eye! Anyway, enough gabbing on to the good stuff!!  You can click here to start their slideshow or download it free in itunes. Here’s just a few of my favourites!!

Stay tuned for another blog entry next week from our “Day After” session that included Shannon’s horse Laika.? Some photographers would call it a “Trash The Dress” session, but after all the work and love that went into her gown you can rest assured that there was no trashing involved!? Check back soon!!

Matt & Jill – Married!

I was so excited last Friday to spend the day with Matt & Jillian.? After shooting their engagement photos and getting to know them and scout some locations with them, I knew it was going to be a great day.? They opted to see each other before the wedding and do all the photos ahead of the ceremony.? Several times during the day I heard both of them say how much more enjoyable the day was by doing things in that order.? I know for some people that seems so untraditional, but I think for both Jill & Matt it really set them at ease to see each other and spend sometime together before walking down the aisle.? I also have to give kudos to Jill & her Mom, Gerda, who spent COUNTLESS hours preparing the back yard for the wedding.? Awesome job ladies!!? Here are a few of my favourite photos from the day.? They?include a few interesting locations.? Jill & Matt both?grew up in the country and all?of the photos were taken minutes from their childhood homes.? I’m sure the guys working at the feed mill thought we were a little crazy – but you?gotta admit it’s kind of a cool shoot!? Click here to start the slideshow.? The itunes download will be ready on Monday.

Kudos to the other awesome vendors involved in pulling this big day off!? Luanne the flowers were beautiful.? I loved the feather’s in Jillian’s bouquet.? Tara & Wilma and the Bridal Elegance Team – Jillian was stunning.? Her dress was absolutely beautiful.? I loved the lace edge on her skirt.?? Great job to all of you!

Bart & Heather – Married!!

Last Wednesday I had the honour and privelege of watching Bart & Heather exchange their wedding vows… yes a Wednesday.? They had decided way back in January that they wanted a simpler, more intimate wedding and that the 2nd of September in Bayfield would be perfect.? I think they were right.? Now when I put simplier, It’s a bit of a contrast really, as the details and effort that Heather put into the wedding were really lovely.? Take the chairs for instance.? Each one had a little bouquet on the corner.? The dinner tables looked lovely,?and each of the name places were hand written.? It was a beautiful wedding, complete with a horse drawn carriage ride – a surprise from the grooms parent’s for their horse-loving daughter in-law.? Here are a few of my favourite photos from their day.

Congrats to Heather & Bart!? I hope you have a wonderful life together!!
