Earlier this spring I had blogged that I was hoping to do an engagement shoot or wedding in an apple orchard in blossom.? Unfortunately the timing just didn’t work out – but when my sister-in-law, Loretta, stopped by for a couple quick belly shots I made sure to get a few apple blossoms into the background.? I’m sure big sister Gloria will love her new little brother as much as she does her kitties!? Congrats Loretta & Derek on the birth of your son….. can’t wait to meet him and grab some photos this week!? Here are the photos I snapped.

I had to laugh…. I was taking some family photos for friends when their son informed me that he was doing his best “plastic smile” – too funny.?? For me the hardest thing about photographing little kids is that they have been programed all their life by their parents (me included) to “smile nice” – “chin up” – “open your eyes” – “say cheese” – and what we end up with are photos of our kids with these forced “plastic” smiles.? So when it was Sebastian’s turn for a photo by himself I told him to give me his best silly face….. look at the progression…..

I think the last image is finally a real smile from this cute little guy!? Great job Sebastian!

Tonight we were visiting with our good friends and their adorable kids.? I was really glad I had finally remembered to bring along my camera to snap some update pictures of their twins.? Here are the two little darlings.? These little girls definitely make me rethink my “weddings only” policy.? It was so much fun coaxing a smile out of them!

They sure have grown since I first took there photos in the neonatal ward.

It was amazing to see them crawling around tonight and doing so well!? They sure are going to keep their mom & dad (and big brothers) hopping for the next little while!? Thanks for a great visit!

Last year Tricia had a great idea for her friend Megan’s Birthday….. a friends photoshoot!?? We finally set a side a time to get together and take some photos of these 5 hotties!? Girls you look fabulous, and you were all a blast to work with!? Tricia, Erin, Amber, Megan & Christina have all been friends since highschool so there was no shortage of laughs and stories to go around.? Here are a few of my favourite shots.? I was so glad to finally meet Natalie & Brandon in person last night!? Natalie & I have been emailing back and forth for the better part of a year, but with them living over an hour away, and all of our busy schedules, this was the first chance we had to actually sit and chat.? Brandon shared his awesome proposal story with me too….. which included their dog burying Natalie’s engagement ring…. TWICE!? Brandon had a great plan, he just forgot to share it with their dog Bruin.? It was a fun night and we managed to snap some engagement photos too!? Can’t wait to see you guys again this summer!

Saturday I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Jeremy & Lisa’s wedding.? I can see Lisa’s family farm from my back yard, and I’ve know her since she was just a little girl, so it was really neat to see her all grown up and looking absolutely stunning.? She & Jeremy make a beatiful couple inside and out and I’m thrilled to share a few of my favourite photos of there day.?
