Awesome Thing #19 – Family fun-filled weekend

Sorry folks no photos today! ?Just wanted to do a quick post. ?We have had an awesome weekend! ?We started off Friday night after dinner with a couple of good board games…. you should really try Imagineiff – loads of fun for a family with kids. ?Saturday was a busy day of laundry and meetings and such, but today was another family fun day! ?We decided to beat the dreary rainy weather by heading into London for a date at the movies. ?We went to see Race to Witch Mountain. ?It was great. ?The kids all loved it. ?We followed it up with a trip to Swiss Chalet – another family favourite, before calling it a night. ?It is so much fun to go out together now that the kids are getting older. ?We had an awesome time!

Awesome Thing #17 – A Really Good Trip to the Salon

I had an absolutely wonderful time today at In Style with Michelle in Exeter, and I just had to share it with you. ?From the moment I walked in the door it was a delightful experience. ?Today I was sitting in Rita’s chair, but the entire team of Michelle, Rita, Bri, Andrea all helped to make it a nice day. ?The feeling in the salon is very relaxing and for lack of a better word just plain old nice. ?I had a bottle of water, a good book, and fun conversation while I sat with my colour on…. (yes the secret is out, I colour my hair)….. ?and a hand massage (heavenly!!). ?After my colour, cut and style, ?Rita did a little eye make up touch up for me and I have to say I left feeling like a queen. ?It was fabulous! ?I would highly recommend if you are looking for a great salon experience, give them a call at 519-235-4665 and make sure you tell them that Sandra sent you. ?Michelle and her staff have an awesome thing going on and I just had to share it!

Wouldn’t be complete blog post with out showing you my new do! ?And on a side note… do you know how hard it is to take a good self portrait?? ?I shot 40 photos of myself before I came up with something useable…. at one point I had totally given up and instead did this…..

Happy Friday! ?I hope you have a great weekend!

Awesome Thing #16 – Seeing your idea become a reality

Tonight I was pleased as punch to deliver a canvas print to Rob & Janet. ?When I took this shot I totally had this image in my mind, so it is really neat to see it come to completion – but more over part of the vision I have for my business is to capture a moment that helps to create a family legacy. ?I know that for years Rob & Janet will enjoy hanging this print on their wall, and I also have no doubt that their children and grandchildren will enjoy it too…. and I think that is pretty darn awesome!

Awesome Thing #15 – Blackberry’s

I have a problem… I have to admit it…. I’m a gadget girl. ?I love new toys with buttons. ?My newest item in my collection is my Blackberry bold and I can’t imagine going with out it. ?It let’s me email from wherever I am at in an instant and keeps track of all kinds of handy things for me. ?It also lets me chat directly with other blackberry users…. sorta like texting but way cooler and cheaper. ?It was a real toss up for me between the Iphone and the blackberry – this time around the blackberry won. ?I can’t wait to see the new technology that will be around in 3 years when I got to replace this phone…. but until they come out with something better I think my blackberry is pretty awesome!

Awesome Thing #14 – IKEA

Say what you will, but I think Ikea is awesome. ?Not only do they have yummy cinnamon buns at one heck of a good price, but they have tons of “rooms” set up with ideas of how you can decorate/renovate your home. ?I just love it! ?The nearest Ikea is about 2 hours from my house, so I don’t get their often, but when I do I always enjoy it and gets lots of great ideas for my own house. ?Here are a few shots from my last visit. ?Love their kitchen cabinet displays….. lots to dream about!

The other aweseome thing is that Ikea is minutes from my friend Krista’s house which gives me two awesome reasons to head to Ikea :)
