Step #1 – Don’t sweat the small stuff

So in keeping with the spirit of remembering what’s important this week I made a decision on Thursday, that going on Victor’s fieldtrip really was more important than all the many things I had to do in the office. ?I always try to make the best use of Victor’s days at school so that the days he is home I’m not stuck in my office all day. ?This week was a tough one. ?Wednesday when Vic was at school my day was consumed with appointments and an unexpected memorial service, so on Thursday when he was going to be gone on a school trip I was really tempted just to pass on it and stay home and accomplish something, but I figured in the grand scheme of things, am I really accomplishing what’s most important? ?Here’s a shot of Vic & I hanging out at the Children’s Museum in London…..

So my apologies to Jennifer & Mike that you’ll have to wait a few more days for your wedding gallery to be online. ? I do promise it will be worth the wait. ?This afternoon I’m off to Goderich to shoot Emily & Kevin’s engagement photos. ?I’m really looking forward to it!

Good for you Sandra! It’s really hitting me how our kids are growing up. I love it but I’m sad too. We need to enjoy every second with them while they’re with us.

I know… not the greatest photos… but I was trying really hard to be “Mom” and left my good camera’s at home. You’ll have to forgive the red eye :)
