Ben & Jenny

Sunday was the day that Ben & Jenny chose to say their vows and become husband and wife. ?Now anyone planning an outdoor wedding in Ontario in October is well…. brave…. but Jenny & Ben couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day! ?Standing on the beach for photos I was seriously wishing I could go for one last dip in Lake Huron before winter. ?Anyway… here’s the scoop.

Ben & Jenny live and work on Nantucket Island. ?Ben has his own event planning, entertaining and concierge business called Enjoy Nantucket. ?He and Jenny met and fell in love on the Island but chose to come to Jenny’s home to celebrate their wedding. ?Jenny’s parent’s have had a cottage in Grand Bend for a long time and decided that hosting their wedding at Hessenland would be a perfect fit. ?I must say that Frank, Liz and their staff did and extraordinary job of entire event. ?

Jenny’s?found her gown at Bridal Elegance in Exeter. ?I really have to say her dress was fit so well! ?It looked amazing and Jenny commented several times about how comfortable it was. ?The flowers were created by Natalie at Village Vines also in Exeter. ?I’ve been to quite a few weddings at Hessenland but I’ve never seen the wedding gazebo quite so beautiful as it was on Sunday. ?Rob from?Music Central did a great job of getting the party started.??The dance floor was full and rocking!? Everyone?had a fabulous time!

Needless to say both Jenny & Ben have quite an eye for detail, and nothing was forgotten. ?It was an amazing event and I’m honored and flattered that they chose me to capture it for them.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This weekend hasn’t been my traditional Thanksgiving of friends and family.? You see I’ve been a bit busy…? This weekend I celebrated and captured two weddings.? Saturday with Julie & Bob and on Sunday with Ben & Jenny.? They were two spectacular weddings.? Between the two events my assistants and myself shot about 5000 frames.? Honestly last night my right arm and wrist were so tired!? I think I might have sprained my trigger finger :)

Anyway it was a fabulous amazing whirlwind of a weekend.? The weather couldn’t have been more spectacular!? The couples were so amazing to work with and it was generally just awesome.? Here’s a shot of each of the happy couples.? I will be doing a full blog entry in a couple days when I have had a chance to catch my breath.

Shane & Pam – Married

On the weekend I captured another wedding in my home town.? When Pam first called me to see about taking her pictures it hardly seemed possible to me that she was old enough to get married.? I’ve watched her and her sisters over the years as they attended the same church that we do and went to the same school my kids go to now.? It doesn’t seem like that long ago that she was still in grade school.? Time has a funny way of slipping by when you aren’t paying attention.? I was thrilled to be a part of Pam & Shane’s day and did my best to capture the beautiful bride and groom as well as the incredible blue skies we had to shoot under.? It was a great day.? I was also very impressed with how they transformed the Zurich Community Centre into a beautiful dining hall.? Between the help of their decorator (please tell me who she was) and their own handywork landscaping it was?really beautiful.? Here are a few of my favourite shots.? Martina & Ian – Married

Last night I had the pleasure of capturing and celebrating Martina & Ian’s wedding.? Martina & Ian have been together for well over a decade, so for them the actual cermony was more of a technicality as the commitment has been in place for a very long time.? When I arrived Ian was just helping Martina to finish her preparations and I managed to catch a few photos.? We did all of the “portraits” before the ceremony so that Martina & Ian didn’t have to leave their guests.? Here are some of my favourite photos

[gallery size="full" columns ="1"]

I had to include a few of their first dance.? Martina?& Ian took some swing dance classes and started off the evening with a bang dancing to “Crazy Little Thing?Called Love” by Queen!? It was a great night.? All the best for many more happy years together!

I met up with Erin & Ian in Stratford on Sunday afternoon to take their engagement photos.? We managed to get some great shots while the weather was still fair.? It sure has rained a LOT this week.? I’m really looking forward to Erin & Ian’s wedding next May at Hessenland.? It should be a really nice day.? They have decided to keep things small and personal.? Anyway, here are a few of my favourite shots!
