Brandon & Tara – Married

There has to be some perks to having an inside track!? Today Tricia’s sister Tara got married.? It was such a fun day and Tara & Brandon both looked fabulous.? Now normally I post photos first to facebook, but since Tara is anti-facebook (go figure?) – I thought I’d add them here first.? I’ll just post one photo to the blog but check out the slideshow here or on the photo.? It was an amazing day… including the part where we crashed a marching band parade.? So much fun!? All the best Tara & Brandon!? I hope you have a fabulous time tonight dancing the night away!

Robb Family Photos

It’s hard to believe that it was over 2 years ago that I captured Wayne & Aundrea’s wedding photos. ?It was great to see them and little Ella again, however I wish it was for another reason. ?Aundrea called a couple weeks ago to see about having a Smiling Eyes shoot in honor of her father who is fighting a tough battle. ?We met up in their hometown of Goderich and snapped some photos. ?Here are a few of my favourites. ?

Jeff & Shannon- Married!!

I was so excited on Saturday to capture Jeff & Shannon’s wedding.? Shannon and I grew up just a few miles apart and rode the same bus for 9 years to Huron Centennial Public School.? We shared not only a seat but lots of years of laughs and giggles along the way.? I’m always a little nervous when covering an event in my home town.? I’m used to showing up at a wedding and no one knows me, but on Saturday everyone in the church was also from Zurich and so anonymity was impossible!?

Jeff & Shannon had a gorgeous sunny day to celebrate, and the mood of the day was definately festive!? Here are a few of my favourites from the day.? You can click here to start the slideshow too!

Congrats Jeff & Shannon!? All the best for many happy years together!

15 Years and Going Strong

Chris & I on September 18, 1993

I know how funny is that??? I swear we were in style for the time!??Today Chris & I are celebrating our 15th Wedding Anniversary?and in light of that?I thought I’d share our photo with you and give you a little glimpse into our lives.?

Chris and I both grew up with in minutes of Zurich but due to the township line we attended different highschools.? We met after school when we both worked at Tasty Nu bakery.? We were friends for a while before we started dating in March of 1990 – I was 15 & Chris was 18.? We dated for three and half years before we got married.? We were SOOO young.? I didn’t think so at the time of course, but now when I see my 18 year old nieces I can’t believe I was married at their age.? I have to say though I wouldn’t trade it for anything.? In a way Chris & I grew up together and I think that is in part why we are so close.? He really is my bestfriend and so much fun to be with.? We work as great team to raise our kids, renovate our house and be each other’s rock and cheerleader…. and we have a heck of a lot of fun along the way!

To celebrate our anniversary tomorrow night we are getting our family photos taken.? Now this may seem strange to you that Tricia isn’t taking our photos – LOVE YOU TRISH – but I wanted to have something totally different from what Tricia & I are used to so I decided to call Erin Samuell.??Erin & I have gotten to know each other over the last year and connected really well in Vegas last March.? Erin has a completely different style than I do and I’m curious to see how it’s going to play out.? I will definately post some images once I get them.? In the meantime you can?check out her site www.simplephoto.ca

Chris & Dwana – Married!

What a rainy, rainy, rainy day…. did I mention it rained??? I was totally impressed with Dwana & Chris’s laid back attitude.? They were so happy to be getting married, nothing could spoil their day.? So here’s their scoop – ?the short version :)

?

Chris & Dwana have known each other for years.? At one point (I think 10 years ago) they worked together.? They were friends and got along great.? Over time their jobs took them in seperate directions but they always kept in touch.? Both of them have had many hardships and heartaches over the years.?? They were always there for each other and grew quite close helping each other through life’s journey.? As time went on Chris joined the Canadian Armed Forces and as part of that was being deployed to Afganistan.? By this time Dwana was really starting to feel like there was more than friendship here, but didn’t want to added any stress for Chris before he headed off to war, and with not knowing how he felt?she decided it wasn’t fair to him to say something right before he left so?she just kept it to herself.?? After three months in Afganistan Chris was home on leave.? He stopped by to see Dwana and after going out for ice cream and?just hanging out, she could tell something was definately on his mind.?? That’s when he?told her that he’d actually loved her for a very long time, and didn’t want to screw up a really great friendship if she didn’t feel the same way.? The rest they say is history.? It’s been a long road to get these two to this point, but I think they both would?tell you it was well worth the journey!? It was an incredible day!???To start the slideshow click here.??Congrats Dee & Chris – I wish you all the best!
